Representatives of the Finnish Refugee Council have chosen 26-year-old Afghan-born Nasima Razmyar as Female Refugee of the Year for International Women’s Day (March 8). Razmyar is involved in work to prevent “honour killings” and racism.
Myllysilta, a bridge over the Aura River in the southwestern Finnish city of Turku, was closed on March 6 after being declared structurally unsound. The bridge's central section is sagging by about one metre and its main supports are bent.
